What's happening?
New for 2025, have fun finding eight Ice Age creatures around the park and fill out fascinating facts on your trail sheet. Then return to receive a prehistoric explorer sticker and create your own woolly mammoth or sabre-toothed cat wooden Christmas decoration!
Designed by award-winning authors and illustrator Jill Michelle Smith and Jennifer Watson, this fun festive event is ideal for families with children of all ages. Tickets can also be purchased with a pre-paid Extraordinary Extinct™ book of your choice (RRP £7.99), signed by the authors for the special combined price of £10.

There is no charge for accompanying adults. Simply arrive any time between 10am and 2pm to collect your trail sheet from the park pavilion (near the café) to begin. Participants will also have the chance to see (and touch) fossils including woolly mammoth and rhino tooth fragments, as well as other Ice Age bones upon check-in. Please allow at least 30 minutes to complete the trail.
